Assam Government takes a decision of complete lockdown due to increasing Corona virus cases.

Assam Government calls the state to complete lockdown as announced by the honourable health Minister of Assam Dr.Himanta Bishwa Sharma on 23rd March 2020 on a press conference. He said that till now 169 Corona tests has been practiced in the state out of which 148 is confirmed to be negative and 21 tests are awaited. He further said India has just crossed a mark of 400 Corona cases today and keeping that in mind the cabinet has decided to lockdown the state except Grocery shops, pharmacy, and petrol stations. He further said this lockdown will be implemented from 6pm on 24th March to 12 am 31st March 2020. He said anyone found to roam during this lockdown except for groceries or medicine will arrested by the police immediately under IPC section270 for the first phase and in second phase he will be behind the bars for 2 year's. He also said railways will be shutdown completely and domestic flights will be restricted. The flights will be used for transportation of Corona related medicine and precautions. he asked the people of Assam for support  and cooperation. He said that isolation ward will be implanted in the state in different districts.

 Private hospital will also be taken and University, hotels hotels etc will be prepared if required. He also said that banks, ATM, and Treasury will remain open  as for the complete of finincal work as March is the end on financial year he also said the institution should have only 10% employee.
