What is the main features of Indian economy?
When India got Independence from the British rule in 1947 .on that time 1 US dollar=1 Indian rupee but after almost 70 years.1US dollar=72.80 Indian rupee .
 The main features of Indian economy are
[1] Low per capita income..
    Per capita income is when the total income is divided by the total population.i.e.the average annual income of person in a country.The per capita income of India in 2008 was ₹31,000 and in 2009 it was ₹33,731 ,it is very low compared to the expenditure of a person on basic needs.As a result the volume of investment has decreased and no development could take place .
[2]High population...
     The population of India is near about 1210 million in 2011 .The rapid growth of population,there by leading to problems of food,cloths and shelter.
[3]poverty...one-third of the total population lives in India,acco according to 2011 census and 30crore of the people of India are poor and 22 crore lives in village
[4] Agriculture..
The majority of the population of India are dependent on agriculture sector.as per 1951 census 70% of the people of India are dependent on agriculture and in 2011 census 60%of the people are dependent on agriculture.
[5] planning based development..
The five years plans have been developed in the country since 1951 for the overall development of the country.efforts have been made to solve the social, educational and problems of the country through economic planning..
